While paying a brokers fee can help you find a good deal more quickly, it is a barrier to entry for some apartment hunters in New York City.

Many people choose to find a roomate to move in with. A carefully selected roomate can help share all of the expenses associated with an apartment in manhattan. It is always best to get a referral from a friend; however, several services exist to help expedite the process. EasyRoomate.com is a great way to find a roommate in nyc or post an available room.

Visit their site to get more info and register.Tomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01622627153756961043noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11931118.post-1112666695907408642005-04-04T19:04:00.001-07:002005-04-04T19:04:55.906-07:00Bettina Equities - Affordable No Fee Apartments
I personally live in one of their apartments. I highly recommend that you stop by their office and pick up an updated list of their apartments. They have quite a few buildings on the upper east side and some others sprinkled throughout the city. Make sure you have good credit before going here!!! It is a little hard to qualify; however, it is worth the energy.

Visit their website here
Tomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01622627153756961043noreply@blogger.com16tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11931118.post-1112666661754728802005-04-04T19:04:00.000-07:002005-04-04T19:04:21.756-07:00Glenwood Management - Luxury No Fee Apartments
I suggest that you visit Glenwood Management Company. This is no small task. At any point in time, there are thousands of apartments available for rent and most of them come with lots of baggage and strings attached.
When I say baggage, you probably imagine giant cucarachas running around a 250 square foot studio. Well - thats not too unlikely - but you should be more worried about hidden fees, shady agents, terrible lease terms, and freaky landlords. All of the aforementioned can make your hunt a miserable one...

Please note - This website is not a rant designed to bash the hard working real estate brokers in Manhattan. Trust me, nyc apartment brokers are some of the hardest working people on the isle of Manhattan. These people toil day in and day out trying to make a buck - most of the time the brokers they work for take 50/60/70 percent of their commissions in exchange for access to the company's listings - That really sux. In fact, some of the major rental companies dont even provide water or drinks to their agents during the summer months! So, long story short, Brokers work hard and they can even help you save money!!!
Tomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01622627153756961043noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11931118.post-1112666478507388952005-03-17T16:18:00.000-08:002005-04-04T19:06:59.176-07:00DailyApartments.com - New York City Apartment ListingsThis publication will be focused on how to help you save money when renting a new york city apartment. Some of the advice may even suggest that you pay a fee to a broker... So, if you are trying to find an apartment in Manhattan - check back often.
Speak with you soon!
Tomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01622627153756961043noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11931118.post-1112666594256151312005-02-13T14:02:00.000-08:002005-04-04T19:07:57.390-07:00Craig Newmark - I owe you bigtime - Thanks
By Now, you've probably heard of Craigslist. I have tons of respect for Craig Newmark and crew. They have developed and maintained one of the coolest services on the planet. Craig helped me make many thousands of dollars in a really short period of time.

I was one of the first real estate brokers in manhattan to post apartment listings on Craigslist. About 45 seconds after posting my first *free* apartment listing, my phone rang off the hook. I scheduled 15 appointments and rented 7 apartments that day. - Mr. Newmark, I owe you bigtime - I made about $6,000 in one day.

Well, times have changed a bit and other brokers got wise to the splendor of this service. Looks like craigslist may begin charging for apartment listing ads in New York City - Craig, I say go for it. Users deserve high quality ads and you deserve some dough.

Nonetheless, apartment hunters should continue to turn to Craiglsist to find great apartments in Manhattan. Heck, you should even go there to get lucky :-)
Tomhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/01622627153756961043noreply@blogger.com0
